How the 2026 tanseeq worked

Thanaweya Amma marks are out of 320 in the new system. The admission office opens the faculties in phases, starting with the highest scores:

Students with Gulf certificates

Egyptian students who finished secondary school in the Gulf apply through the equivalent certificates office, with separate seats. The minimum to apply in 2026 was 95% for medicine, 90% for dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, economics and mass communication, and 85% for engineering and computers. Private and national universities accept lower percentages.

Your total marks divided by 320 (or 410 in the old system), times 100.

I studied in Saudi Arabia. Do these cutoffs apply to me?

No. Students with equivalent certificates have a separate admission with its own minimums. See the section above.
